First Power produced by Momentum's new 11 MWp Solar Park, Skjern Sol

With this, Momentum Energy Group completed its first major solar plant project.
The facility produces enough electricity for the annual consumption of 6,875 Danes.
The construction of the plant is a result of collaboration between Momentum and EPC development partner, Danish Sun Energy, and marks the completion of the first of several planned solar projects.
With the development of this project, Momentum Energy Group is really stepping into the fight against climate change. Momentum already owns and operates more than 300 wind turbines in Denmark and Germany and produces enough power to cover the average annual electricity consumption of 218,750 people.
This is a number that will increase significantly in the coming years as we expand our portfolio of wind turbines and photovoltaic plants. The plan is to increase capacity by at least 5 times compared to today.
“But that’s just a number until we set ourselves a new goal”, says CEO Kim Madsen, who can be seen in the picture together with Momentum’s team and partners behind the project.
The project is the fruit of good teamwork between all parties involved, including authorities, a special thank you to landowner Ole Christensen for great cooperation, to Danish Sun Energy for exemplary teamwork, to RAH for good collaboration regarding grid connection, and to Momentum’s project development team that under difficult conditions during Corona, logistics problems, rampant inflation etc. executed the project with only 14 days’ delay from the original plan.
The next facility is already in pipeline, and we look forward to continuing our modest contribution to a greener planet.
